DCU-Camping Kulhuse is a charming campsite nestled in a peaceful and scenic setting right on the tip of Hornsherred. The sandy beach is just a stone's throw away and is the perfect spot to splash around in the water or wander along the shore. The campsite is located in a beautiful, hilly area with tall pine trees and a protected nature reserve, great for walking your beloved four-legged friend, and your two-legged family members.
Space to play and cosy up
The fun-filled playground is a kid's dream come true with jumping pillows, climbing frames and swing sets, a zip wire and ball court. Just around the corner is a cosy shelter and fire pit, the perfect spot for toasting Danish twist bread and soaking up the warm, magical glow of the camp fire.
Forest trails and castle gardens
Nordskoven forest is home to Denmark's oldest oak tree, Kongeegen. The network of forest trails is within easy reach of the campsite - ideal for hikes and outings during your stay. You can also visit the nearby Jægerspris Castle and the breathtaking castle park.
Cosy Hundested and Frederikssund
Hop on the little ferry from Kulhuse to Sølager - it’s only a five-minute ride before you’re exploring the cosy town of Hundested, packed with charming shops, local eateries, and how about a round of mini golf to wrap up the day? If you're in the mood for art and culture, head to Frederikssund and dive into the bold and vibrant world of Willumsens Museum with its many "wild" art experiences.

Soak up the sun on the terrace in one of the campsite's bright luxury cabins, equipped with a modern kitchen, shower and toilet. The beautiful luxury cabins are located in the centre of the campsite and provide access to all the campsite's activities and amenities.

Great place, with air around it. Great clown race
Very friendly and great amenities
An absolutely approved site. Really nice sites in a hilly terrain, where there are plenty of opportunities to lie in a sunny spot or a shady spot. Large nice playground, and really nice toilet and bathroom facilities, where you are free from coin insertion etc. when you have to shower. The only upgrade I could wish for was the serving of draft beer.
