The campsite in Hesselhus is a real green oasis, situated right by the recreated Bølling Lake and surrounded by forest. It’s the perfect spot for both unwinding and letting the kids play freely. Spend the day by the pool, let the little ones burn off energy in the playground, or head out on one of the signposted hiking and cycling trails that start right from the site.

Himmelbjerget and a trip to Silkeborg 

Climb Himmelbjerget and take in the beautiful forests surrounding the 147-metre high peak. After a decent hike, enjoy a picnic in the forest among the beautiful greenery. Ready for another adventure? Head to the cosy market town of Silkeborg and explore the town's streets packed with shops and great places to eat. Silkeborg also offers the interesting Museum Jorn, AQUA Aquarium & Zoo, as well as great picnic spots along the banks of the Gudenåen river.

Visit Legoland and Givskud Zoo

If you’re after a fun family day out, both Legoland and Givskud Zoo are just a 30-minute drive from the campsite. Legoland is packed with fun rides and impressive exhibitions to entertain both kids and grown-ups. If you're more into wildlife, at Givskud Zoo you can get up close to both exotic and Danish animals.
