We arrived at the park on a gloomy Monday morning with 3 excited children. The disappointment started to show on their faces within 30 minutes of being at the campsite. We tried our best to get moved to a different site, but with no joy.
3 days into the trip we decided to make the best of it. The pools provided much solace to the children, and once we started to practice our French with the bar staff and locals we were made to feel extremely welcome. The food was cooked to exactly how we asked it to be cooked, and the 2 guys running the bar were exceptional. We have come away from our holiday feeling like we have made lifelong friends and certainly memories.
Yes it’s a small site, yes it’s relatively quiet but we booked a few activities to do outside of the site during our stay and made the most of our holiday.
The staff in reception were exceptional and the bar/restaurant team were superb. We also met an English couple who live near the site and have a lodge there, who also made our stay feel so welcoming.
