Anden campingplads

Camping Bella Italia

Description of the campsite

Nice campsite, good if you’re looking to travel around. Not enough beds at all at any of the pools, we mainly were on towels and we had toddlers! While as usual, many leave their towels and spend 5 hours away from the pool. I do wish that these places would monitor the beds. Why have a bed if you’re never going to lie/sit on it! Restaurants were good too but can get very busy.

We’ve just returned from an 11-night stay at Bella Italia in a Eurocamp static home, travelling with our teenage son (15/16) and two daughters (13/14 and 10/11), and we honestly had a phenomenal holiday. Yes, check-in was quite long and not the most efficient by today’s standards, but once we got through that and settled into our accommodation, everything improved massively. After reading some previous reviews, I was a bit sceptical, but we ended up loving every minute of it. The staff were genuinely lovely across the board—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We found that even a little basic Italian goes a long way and is really appreciated. The pool was a bit chilly at first, but after the initial shock it was absolutely fine, especially once you’re in the sun. Considering it’s April, it’s no different from other fresh water pools at this time of year. The location is fantastic. The lake is beautiful, with pedalo hire at €15 per hour and kayaks at €5 for 30 minutes—great fun for the family. The walk into town is around 20 minutes and really pleasant, with plenty to see along the way. One of the only downsides for us was the on-site food, which didn’t quite meet expectations—but that’s subjective. The good news is there are so many fantastic restaurants nearby that it really wasn’t an issue. We also loved how easy it was to explore further afield. Getting the train to Verona and Venice was simple and convenient, and definitely worth doing. The play and games areas were great for the kids, and the small on-site amusement park is very reasonably priced—around €1 per ride or game, which is much cheaper than the UK. Having a car helped, as we could easily visit local supermarkets, which are plentiful and more affordable than the on-site shop (although the on-site supermarket was clean, well-stocked, and convenient). Visiting around Easter felt like a perfect time—busy enough for the kids to make friends, but not overcrowded. After check-in, we didn’t have to queue for anything, and check-out was quick and easy. Overall, we’ve had a brilliant time. The atmosphere is respectful, family-friendly, and relaxed. It’s a 5-star experience from us—you really do make your own holiday memories, and this is one we won’t forget

Just spent 1 week away here at this location for the Halloween holidays, great location, to use as a base for families to visit surrounding areas of the lake all within easy reach of walking, bus routes and trains from the local town of Peschiera. Stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow, self catering and everything that was there was adequate, friendly staff at reception, and I highly recommend the restaurants on site Corte Riga and Le Terezze, they serve very good food at a reasonable price, and the service is really good! Entertainment provided throughout the day and evenings is enough to keep the kids entertained, 5/5 Grazie!

We were there for four days in mobile home Girasole Suite. We were not satisfied with the cleanliness. It's end of April, the season started but the house deck wasn't painted and had paint peeling off everywhere, the deck was not clean, cups had strays of dust, the stove was dusty.

Bring your own bedsheets and towels or you have to pay for them! These are not included in the price! Overall small and compact rooms. Clean and looks good. Air around here smells terrible.
